About Talia
Talia Sprague (she/they) is a freelance photojournalist based out of Chicago, Ill.
They're returning to freelancing following a six-month stint as the fall photo intern for the Chicago Tribune, an internship that they'd dreamed about since joining their high school newspaper in 2017. Prior to interning at the Tribune, they'd worked as the photo intern at The Montana Standard in Butte, Mont. in summer 2022 and had a six-month stint as the fall photo intern at The Virginian-Pilot/Daily Press in Norfolk, Va. in 2021.
Whenever they're not freelancing, they can be found watching animated TV shows with Harley Quinn being the current go-to, reading Sci-Fi books, or riding their bike when they get around to fixing it again.
Additionally between freelance assignments, Talia attends Columbia College Chicago in pursuit of their BA in photojournalism after transferring there in 2022 from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio following a gap year due to the uncertainty and chaos of the early COVID-19 pandemic.
